Tihar

Tihar, A festival of lights

The festival Tihar, arrives at the final week of the vacation. It is the most lively festivals bringing joy, colors and lights together. The festival marking recognition and significance of the actual Nepali beauty.

On the first and second day of Tihar, me and my family prepared the lightening of the house. Then the actual fun began on the third day of Tihar. The laxmi puja is the most beautiful part of Tihar. We made rongoli, did the puja and then comes the fun part, the Bhaili. A group came and we jammed. Then the other comes with more excitement. Other two groups came to our place and we enjoyed a lot. We listened to them. We sang along and
danced along. It was the most fun night. We slept late that night. The the other day that is the day of Bhai tika where the ceremony ended and the day darkens, Another group of Deusi arrives and again fun.

The place looked incredible. The nights were so sprkly. The sound of the patekas were so enthusiastic. It was a wonderful experience to celebrate such a great festival after moving to a new place.
